Intersession Program

Due to the uncertainties of the pandemic and concerns with students returning from holiday break, Johns Hopkins University will offer all Intersession courses in the virtual environment from January 4 – 22, 2021. Students interested in attending the Intersession virtually can view the published schedule on SIS beginning November 16, 2020. Intersession registration will open in SIS on December 1, 2020.

The academic departments representing the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering sponsor diverse courses that are topical, engaging, and not typically offered during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students may take one or two courses that are graded Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory during intersession.

For Intersession courses, there is no additional tuition for degree-seeking undergraduate students who were enrolled full-time at Hopkins in the previous Fall 2020 semester. Students who do not meet these criteria are charged tuition on a per-credit basis.
