Hopkins Experience

Baltimore, the largest city in Maryland, is the center of a metropolitan area of 1.5 million people and home to over a dozen colleges and universities. People of many different backgrounds give the city a melting pot vitality that is reflected in the wide variety of restaurants, shops, and festivals.

 

JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY: HOMEWOOD CAMPUS

Hopkins is located in Charles Village, a largely residential neighborhood of traditional row houses and a village center with restaurants and shops. The 140-acre Homewood campus features dining, dorm, laboratory, class, and recreational buildings built in the Georgian architecture style. The student body is composed of approximately:

  • 5,000 full-time undergraduate students
  • 1,500 full-time graduate students
