Financial Aid

Overview

Johns Hopkins Summer Pre-College Programs staff are committed to helping meritorious applicants meet the cost of attendance by providing need-based assistance to students who demonstrate financial need. Although our awards will not cover the entire cost, financial assistance, along with family funds, can help make summer study possible.

Tuition Grants

Partial, need-based tuition awards are available for pre-college students. Pre-college applicants who wish to be considered for financial assistance must complete the financial assistance portion along with your application.

If you are a visiting college student, you may qualify for financial assistance based on attendance at your home institution. Check with the financial office at your college or university for more information. The Johns Hopkins University Office of Financial Aid can certify the cost of attendance upon registration.

Current Hopkins undergraduate students can obtain more information about Summer financial aid from the JHU Office of Financial Aid.

Requirements

Financial assistance applications should be accompanied by a copy of your parents’ 2017 federal tax return (2018 if available) and your full, completed summer program application. Financial assistance applications must be submitted no later than March 15, 2019. We cannot consider incomplete or late financial assistance applications. *Please note that financial assistance is limited and competitive.

External Funding

Additionally, funding may be acquired by applying to one of our partner organizations that provide scholarships for our programs.
