RETURNING STUDENTS

Students who have attended Hopkins Summer Programs in the past and are applying to the same program are considered pre-certified. If you have previously attended Discover Hopkins (now Summer Intensive) and are applying to Summer Academy or Summer Term, our office can provide you an application fee waiver. However, these programs have additional application requirements that must be submitted for consideration of acceptance. OSIP confirms applicants who indicate they are pre-certified.

  • Application. Please contact our office to receive your application fee waiver.
  • Transcript, including Fall 2019 grades.
  • International Applicants: Once accepted into the program, international students requiring an F-1 Visa will receive an email titled “Request for Information: Summer Programs at Johns Hopkins- Request for I-20.” Students should follow instructions in the email for completing an I-20 request. For Visa questions, please contact Office of International Services.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

International Applicants: Once accepted into the program, international students requiring an F-1 Visa will receive an email titled “Request for Information: Summer Programs at Johns Hopkins- Request for I-20.” Students should follow instructions in the email for completing an I-20 request. For Visa questions, please contact Office of International Services.

*We must receive your official transcript before an I-20 can be processed.

Students attending an institution outside the United States must have official transcripts (in English) submitted directly from their home institution to JHU Summer at Hopkins.

Students unable to send official transcripts in English must submit official transcripts to JHU Summer at Hopkins through World Education Services (WES) or one of the credential evaluation services listed here. It takes time for an institution, approved provider, or credential evaluation service to process and send official transcripts – in some cases at least 4 to 6 weeks. Therefore, applicants should allow sufficient time for their transcripts to be processed and transmitted to JHU.
